Browse Fashion by Family and Occasion
Old Navy organizes shopping around familiar departments so families can move quickly from broad inspiration to the right wardrobe section. The Shop screen brings together new arrivals, today's deals, trending collections, jeans, school uniforms, activewear, vacation clothing, Halloween styles, and clearance, alongside dedicated areas for women, men, girls, boys, toddlers, babies, and maternity shoppers.
This department-first layout works well when several people need clothing at once or when the shopper has a specific occasion in mind. Seasonal tiles and category images make it easy to compare ideas before opening individual products, while the persistent navigation keeps Shop, Deals, Bag, and Account within reach throughout the browsing session.
Search, Filter, and Scan Store Items
Search tools help shoppers move beyond the home-page collections when they already know what they need. The search field is available from the main shopping view, and category routes narrow the catalog by audience or clothing type. An in-app barcode scanner can also connect a physical Old Navy item with photos, reviews, and ordering information, which is useful while comparing sizes, colors, or online availability in a store.
Location access supports finding a nearby store, but shoppers can choose how precisely to share it or decline the request. This combination of search, scanning, and store discovery lets users switch between browsing at home and checking an item in person without rebuilding the shopping process from scratch.
Compare Deals and Build a Shopping Bag
The Deals tab collects current promotions separately from the broader catalog, giving bargain-focused shoppers a direct route to limited-time offers and clearance. Promotional cards can highlight percentage discounts, seasonal campaigns, and event-specific savings, while the same navigation keeps the full Shop area close when users want to compare discounted items with new arrivals or staple categories.
Selected products move into the Bag, where shoppers can review the order path before checkout. The empty-bag screen also links back to popular shopping sections, so it remains useful before anything is added. Free-shipping thresholds and other offer terms appear alongside the bag experience when applicable, helping users weigh timing and order size before completing a retail purchase.
Keep Favorites, Rewards, and Stores Close
An Old Navy account adds tools for shoppers who return regularly. The account area provides entry points for sign-in or membership creation, along with favorites, store locator access, customer service, rewards, birthday perks, and special savings. These features keep recurring shopping tasks tied to one profile instead of requiring users to rediscover preferred items and nearby stores each time.
Browsing is still available before sign-in, so an account is not needed just to inspect departments, promotions, or the shopping bag. Members who want saved favorites, reward activity, or personalized offer alerts can sign in when those tools become relevant. Notification controls remain available through Android settings, giving users a separate way to manage sale and offer alerts.
