myHomework turns a student’s workload into an organized list instead of a loose collection of notes. A new entry can include a description, class, type, due date, due time, repeat setting, priority, reminder, attached file, additional information, and completion status, so each task carries the details needed to act on it.
The home view is designed for returning to that information quickly. Assignments, tests, and projects can be reviewed together and filtered by class, priority, or type, while completed work can remain visible when that setting is enabled. This gives students a practical way to see what matters next without rebuilding their to-do list each day.
Class Schedules and Calendar Planning
Class organization gives the planner a schedule-based view of schoolwork. Students can record classes, open a calendar, and connect assignments with the periods in which they belong. The schedule settings also support block or rotating school days and let users choose how many periods appear in a day.
The navigation drawer keeps Homework, Classes, Calendar, Teachers, and Announcements close together. Users who prefer a timetable-first workflow can choose whether a fresh launch opens to Homework or Calendar, then use the calendar to look ahead at lessons and due work. These connected views make the app useful during both daily study and weekly planning.
Reminders, Themes, and Daily Preferences
Reminders and display preferences let students shape the planner around their routine. Settings include a default reminder, a switch for disabling homework reminders, a default priority, and controls for showing completed assignments. Rewards can also be enabled, while theme choices provide a more personal look for repeated daily use.
The same settings area includes options for block schedules, period numbering, and the screen shown when the app opens. Together, these controls reduce the need to reconfigure each assignment and make the planner easier to scan. Students who want a quieter workflow can keep only the reminders and views that fit their study habits.
Account Sync and School Announcements
An optional account layer extends myHomework beyond a single device. The app offers Google sign-in and myHomework account access, with synchronization for homework and reminders described for account users. This is useful for students who move between a phone, tablet, computer, and the service’s web experience.
School communication has its own path through Teachers.io classes. After signing in or signing up, students can join a class and receive assignments and announcements from teachers. Users who only need a personal planner can stay with homework, classes, and calendar tools, while connected accounts add cross-device continuity and school updates when those services are needed.
