Old vs latest
Current latest: HttpCanary 3.3.5
Archived editorial snapshot
HttpCanary gives developers, testers, and technically experienced users a mobile workspace for inspecting network traffic. Through a local VPN capture flow, it can record HTTP, HTTPS, HTTP/2, WebSocket, TCP, and UDP sessions without requiring root access. Users can filter protocols or content, search session history, choose target apps, and examine requests or responses as raw data, text, JSON, headers, hexadecimal values, URLs, cookies, or supported media. Plugins and capture controls extend recurring debugging tasks. Version 3.3.5 may require Android VPN approval, and HTTPS inspection can require installing a root certificate. Such certificates are sensitive; use them only on trusted devices and remove them when inspection work is complete.
Record supported HTTP, HTTPS, HTTP/2, WebSocket, TCP, and UDP activity through a local VPN workflow. This provides portable network debugging directly on a compatible Android device.
Narrow recorded sessions by protocol, content, target app, or search terms instead of reviewing every request. History tools keep earlier capture work available for later comparison.
Open request and response data as raw text, JSON, headers, hexadecimal values, URLs, cookies, or supported media. Different detailed viewers help diagnose different network problems.
