Aim-and-Shoot Battles with Burst Skills
Combat combines squad management with direct shooting. Players choose a team of Nikkes, aim at invading Raptures, switch attention between threats, and use each fighter’s weapon type to keep damage flowing. Simple controls make the basic loop approachable, while enemy patterns and changing targets reward careful timing rather than idle tapping.
Burst Skills add the tactical layer that separates one lineup from another. Chaining compatible skills lets a squad create stronger attack windows, protect vulnerable members, or answer a difficult wave with concentrated fire. This structure suits short mobile sessions, yet it also gives players room to experiment with formations and character roles before tackling harder encounters.
Recruit Nikkes and Shape a Squad
The roster is built around Nikkes with distinct personalities, weapon specialties, and combat functions. Recruiting new characters expands the combinations available for a combat squad, so players can balance damage, support, survivability, and Burst sequencing instead of relying on a single favorite. Animated character presentation also keeps the collection closely tied to the story.
Team building continues through upgrades and Favorite Items that strengthen selected characters or add long-term goals. A new recruit may open a different approach to a stage, while investment in an established unit can stabilize campaign progress. Players who enjoy collecting can follow characters and costumes, while strategy-minded users can focus on synergy, role coverage, and dependable rotations.
Explore the Ark and Reclaim the Surface
NIKKE’s campaign follows humanity after the Rapture invasion forces survivors into the underground Ark. As a Commander, the player leads Nikke squads back toward the surface, moves through story chapters, and encounters factions and characters whose personal conflicts connect to the larger fight for survival. The setting gives each battle a clear narrative purpose beyond collecting rewards.
Story scenes, character episodes, and fully voiced events broaden that world between combat stages. Familiar squad members such as Rapi and other Counters gain context through conversations and missions, while new event chapters can spotlight different teams. This makes the game suitable for players who want an ongoing science-fiction story alongside tactical shooting and roster development.
Events, Raids, and Repeatable Progress
Limited story events and login campaigns provide goals outside the main campaign. The PROJECT MATIS update adds a fully voiced event, a 14-day login track, new Nikkes, costumes, profile objects, and titles, giving returning players several ways to expand a roster or personalize an account. These time-limited activities can also offer a manageable route back into the game after a break.
Solo Raid content and related museum records add longer-term challenges for developed squads, while Favorite Items create another progression target for specific Nikkes. Lobby icon folders help organize a busy home screen as more activities become available. Together, these systems suit players who like rotating events, collection milestones, and repeatable battles rather than a campaign that ends after one story path.
