GlobalProtect 6.1.14 is an enterprise Android VPN client for reaching organization-managed networks through a configured portal. The release begins with an information disclosure, then presents a portal-address entry point so an employee or contractor can direct the client to the correct gateway. Depending on the deployment, the same app can support Always-On, Remote Access, or Per-App VPN, select an available gateway, and keep users informed when a background connection needs attention. MDM provisioning and enterprise authentication options make it suitable for managed company phones and BYOD programs with defined policies. The package declares Android 5.0 as its minimum, and access still depends on an administrator-provided portal, credentials or certificate, and an enabled GlobalProtect gateway subscription.
Portal-led onboarding for enterprise access
The Android client begins with a disclosure and a portal-address field, giving employees a clear route into the gateway chosen by their organization. Once the correct address and sign-in method are available, the setup can lead into the company’s managed network experience.
Flexible VPN modes for managed devices
Always-On, Remote Access, and Per-App VPN modes let administrators match the tunnel to a company phone or a BYOD device. The same client can use IPSec or SSL while keeping the policy decision with the organization’s gateway configuration.
Gateway choice with background connection awareness
GlobalProtect can discover a suitable gateway automatically or allow a manual choice when a deployment needs it. Native Android notifications help surface a background connection failure so a user can return to the client before work access is interrupted.
