Water, Smoke, and Ship Rendering Controls
Beyond direct damage, the game lets players tune how the environment presents a sinking scene. Water controls include density, drag, impact, temperature, intake, craziness, and diffusion, giving each experiment a different physical feel. Smoke controls expose mass, density, persistence, boilers, and fire values, so a burning hull can look and behave differently as conditions change.
Ship Rendering adds choices for stress, texture, interior, exterior, role, anonymous NPCs, lamp color, contrast, detail, and night vision. These panels are useful when a player wants to inspect the hull, follow people inside it, or create a darker cinematic setup. Adjusting a few sliders before a run makes repeated experiments easier to compare.
Real-Time Sinking for Curious Players
The simulation is most satisfying when a ship’s response unfolds slowly enough to read. A hull may remain level after a small cut, then tilt as compartments fill, lose sections, and finally disappear under the surface.
