Search Flights, Hotels, and Car Rentals
Amex Travel brings the main parts of trip shopping into one mobile workflow. Card Members can search for flights, browse hotels in destinations around the world, and compare car-rental options without moving between separate booking tools. Keeping these categories together makes it easier to shape a complete itinerary while dates and destinations are still being decided.
Hotel browsing also connects eligible travelers with Fine Hotels + Resorts and The Hotel Collection properties, where applicable benefits can be reviewed before a reservation. Once a suitable option is found, users can continue from discovery to booking inside the app, keeping the planning path focused on the same trip and American Express account.
Wishlists and Personalized Hotel Discovery
Wishlists give travelers a place to collect hotel ideas before they are ready to reserve. Users can save favorite properties, refine a future destination list, and return later to compare choices at their own pace. This is useful for trips that begin with inspiration rather than fixed dates, especially when several stays or locations are under consideration.
Version 1.12.0 also introduces Perfect Stay recommendations for eligible Gold and Platinum Card Members. These suggestions draw attention to Fine Hotels + Resorts and The Hotel Collection properties that better fit individual travel preferences. Together with global hotel browsing and saved favorites, the discovery tools help turn a broad destination idea into a shorter, more manageable set of places to consider.
Card Benefits and Pay with Points
The app connects travel planning with eligible American Express Card benefits. Card Members can review property benefits tied to select hotel programs and see how those advantages may shape a stay before completing a booking. This makes the value of an eligible card easier to consider alongside the room or itinerary instead of treating benefits as a separate research task.
Pay with Points provides another way to handle eligible travel purchases using Membership Rewards points, while supported hotel programs may include added benefits for qualifying cards. Availability and terms depend on the card, property, and reservation, so the app works best as a central place to compare the trip itself with the benefits attached to the user's account.
Trip Itineraries and Reservation Management
After booking, the Trips area keeps important reservation details available in one place. Users can review upcoming, past, and canceled itineraries, open confirmations and receipts, and check traveler information without searching through separate messages. The app also supports changes for eligible reservations, helping Card Members return to the booking when plans shift.
This management view is especially useful close to departure, when confirmation details and property benefits need to be easy to find. Keeping flights, hotels, rental cars, receipts, and traveler information connected to the same account reduces the number of places a user must check. It gives frequent travelers a practical mobile reference from the planning stage through the active trip.
