AirScreen 2.15.1 turns an Android device into a wireless receiver for sending phone, computer, and browser media to a larger display. AirPlay, Google Cast, DLNA, and supported Miracast connections suit family viewing, presentations, and shared music or video without adding a sender-side app. The receiver also offers local-media browsing, screen recording, custom endpoint names, background service behavior, hardware acceleration, and UHD output for flexible room setups. In this version, Media Store scanning is optimized and manually selected screen resolutions can use landscape or portrait orientation. Android 5.0 or newer is required; casting needs a local network or an internet-capable hotspot, while Miracast is disabled on Android Oreo (8.0) and later.
One receiver for four casting protocols
AirScreen brings AirPlay, Google Cast, DLNA, and supported Miracast into one receiving endpoint. That gives a living room, classroom, or meeting space a flexible destination for phone screens, videos, music, and browser content, even when visitors use different platforms.
Sender-friendly sharing across platforms
Set up the receiving device and keep sender-side controls familiar. iPhone, Android, Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and other compatible systems can send content through their existing casting paths, while a Cast rendering engine and optional duplicate-screen flow help extend the same session to another AirScreen endpoint.
Local media tools with 2.15.1 refinements
Media Store helps surface local audio, images, and video near the receiver's playback workflow. AirScreen 2.15.1 adds a landscape-or-portrait choice for manually selected screen resolutions and improves local-media scanning speed, while screen recording, UHD output, hardware acceleration, and background service mode support longer viewing sessions.
