Continuing After the ABC App Retirement
The ABC mobile and connected-TV app stopped being available on September 23, 2024, and this Android build no longer opens its former streaming catalog. Its current screen sends viewers toward other ways to watch instead of presenting episodes, live channels, profiles, or the previous home interface. Reinstalling the package does not restore that retired service.
ABC.com now carries full episodes, live TV, and 24/7 channels, while a participating TV provider can unlock eligible programs. Hulu offers next-day episodes and full seasons; Disney+ covers Disney, Marvel, and National Geographic content. ABC News and local affiliates handle news, while ESPN and ESPN+ provide sports options. These destinations replace the app's old role rather than extending its functionality.
